Welcome to Compassion, Food & Fun. We began this event began in 2014 in memory of Christopher Comstock. Chris was a person who loved his friends, family and lived each moment to the its fullest. Chris loved sports, music, tasty food and spending time with loved ones. As a child, Chris and his family received support from the Bedford community as he fought through his catastrophic illness. The Comstock family, friends and community honors Chris's memory and his compassion for others by organizing this event to raise money for the BCF Heart of Hope Fund (which helps children and young adults (ages 0-35 y/o) in Bedford township dealing with catastrophic illnesses pay for medical expenses.
We have also raised money for other Bedford organizations in conjunction with the Heart of Hope as we saw the need.
We are all volunteers and all the money raised stays in Bedford Township.
Since 2014 the Heart of Hope has given out many grants to many grateful families. The money we make during this fundraiser is being used! The need continues!
Please join us for our 2021 Compassion, Food & Fun event on August 14th, 2021.
This year we will have a one day event held at Forest View Lanes 2345 Dean Rd. in Temperance, MI. Time: 8:00 AM - 10PM. This day will include a 30 mile cycling tour for experience riders, Live Music, Vendors, Kids activities (for ages 12 and under) including a bike parade, service dog demonstration, and more. We will also have baskets for raffle and 50/50 going on all day. A remembrance memorial will be set up for those children we lost too soon.Great food and drink available all day for purchase!
We know that Chris would be all about biking, music and a place to gather friends and family together to enjoy the day!
